Presidents Message

I am extremely proud to welcome you to our new web site and be able to communicate more closely with all of you.

As almost all of you know, Wittur & Co. has been serving the party rental industry with table top products for over 40 years. Offering the only true Wittur, Royal Sheffield and Royal Handon shapes, like Regina, Gracia and Castle. While you may see "impostors" of these shapes, they are not the true Wittur & Co. product. These patterns and shapes have been consistently offered through Wittur and Wittur only for over 25 years. No one else in the industry can lay claim to that. No one else in the industry distributes or sells these products.

That being said, I must share with you some recent experiences of long time friends and business associates. In the not too distant past I have had several very knowledgeable party store owners call me for "help". It seems that they had been approached by other party store owners who were now going to become "vendors" as well and offered an unbelievable deal on a shared container. The pricing was too good to pass up and the dinnerware was a 'new' pattern from an unknown source and factory. With the economy such as it has been, it seemed like a good and fair business decision. However, the problem came in quality, inventory and consistency.

When the sharing rental store needed product, there was none. When the sharing rental store wanted more to bring up quantities, the selling rental store was not ready or willing to make a purchase at that time. And worse yet, they decided that the pattern wasn't one they would pursue. And in at least one case, the factory went out of business. Because the selling rental store was not committed as a vendor to the party rental industry and only looking for someone to help them get what they wanted to fill a container, the sharing rental store suffered the loss. Now these store owners are holding inventory on a pattern that is not available and can not rent because they don't have enough product to fill the parties.

I caution you not to be fooled by a "friend" you tells you they can "get you a deal on a shared container." What happens two years from now when they are no longer interested in your needs? Where do you get that pattern?

We respect our customers and the long term needs of the party rental industry. We value your loyalty and appreciate the many special friendships that have developed over the years.

We will continue to move forward with innovative ideas and programs and keep you, our customer in mind with research and development of new products.
